Rezerwat Źródliska Jasiołki został powołany w 1993 r. Aby „chronić ze względów naukowych, dydaktycznych i krajobrazowych naturalne zbiorowiska źródliskowe obszaru rzek Wisłok i Jasiołka”. To fragment operatu, czyli planu ochrony . Ma 1585,01 ha i jest największym rezerwatem w polskich Karpatach (trzeci co do wielkości w całym łuku). Jego powierzchnia jest większa niż obszar niejednego parku narodowego.
The „Źródliska Jasiołki” reserve was established in 1993 to „protect the natural source communities of the Wisłok and Jasiołka rivers for scientific, educational and landscape reasons”. This is a fragment of the opera or plan of protection. It has 1585,01 ha and is the largest reserve in the Polish Carpathians (the third largest in the entire arch), its area is larger than the area of many national parks.
