Kościół Pamięci Cesarza Wilhelma (Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche) jest jednym z najważniejszych pomników w Berlinie. Położony w Berlinie Zachodnim, w dzielnicy zwanej Charlottenburg. Kościół został zbudowany w 1895 roku na polecenie cesarza Wilhelma. Został zniszczony w 1943 roku podczas II wojny światowej. Po wojnie, obywatele Berlina Zachodniego nie chcieli w tym miejscu budowy kolejnego kościoła. Chcieli Kościoła Pamięci pozostawionego jako symbol cierpienia, jakiego doświadczyli podczas wojny. I w końcu osiągnęli swoje. Kościół pozostał zniszczony i dzisiaj jest symbolem pokoju i pojednania. Nie tylko dla Niemców, ale też dla wielu ludzi na całym świecie.
The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is one of the most important monuments in Berlin. Located in West Berlin, in the district called Charlottenburg, the church was built in 1895 on the orders of Kaiser Wilhelm, but was destroyed in 1943 during World War II. After the war, the citizens of West Berlin did not want to build another church here: they wanted the Church of Remembrance left as a symbol of the suffering they had suffered during the war. And finally they achieved theirs: the church was destroyed and today is a symbol of peace and reconciliation, not only for Germans, but also for many people around the world.
